Digital printing onto fabric

Exciting, received printed fabric from The Silk Bureau today.  I had selected two images for printing and liased with RuthMoserDesign regarding submitting images, supplier, choice of material and cost.  Final decisions were to use the two designs below.  This was a bit of an indulgence cost wise but the results are fabulous.  I shall need to research very carefully the best options for presenting them.  They have been printed onto heavy silk dupion and the results are excellent, good colour match and the detail has been retained throughout the designs. Designs below.

I decided to produce these as samples to include within my Business Practice module where I have been working with RuthMoserDesign. www.ruthmoserdesign.co.uk
Ruth was orignially a fine artist who went onto to do an M.A. in textile design.  She has successfully crossed over disciplines whilst retaining a painterly quality to her designs which are digitally printed onto a variety of fabrics and used in a variety of products.

This image references my current area of investigation, i.e. 'repetition equals differnce'.  It is worked in ink using a varigated comb on watercolour paper. The paper colour is not accurate here and should be a mellow cream hue.
